position- is an objects location or place

Read with or to a parent or have a parent read "Three Little Cyberpigs" on pages 217-224  and "The Three Little Pigs Revisited" in the Storytown Reading Text Book. Also, study time table flash cards, spelling, and vocabulary words daily. Remember to read and record in the reading log each evening. Thank you for submitting Native American projects; grades should be ready soon!!
   Study Information
Parents you may use chapter 6 lesson 3 pages 150-151 in math textbook to review/prepare for the 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication quiz, and Chapter 2, Lesson 5 pages 38-39 to review/prepare for the rounding test.  You may review Chapter 6 lessons 1 and 2 pages 134-147 in the Science Interactive Text (Student Practice Book) for the science quiz. These are review standards that the students have previously learned.

Vocabulary Words and Definitions
reluctant – if someone is reluctant to do something, he or she does not want to do it
rumpled – it is wrinkled or messy
surge –a sudden and strong feeling
inspecting –looking at something very carefully
taut –stretched or pulled very tightly
untangled – untied knots or straightened out something that was twisted
resounded – if a place resounded, then it became filled with sound
lurked –waited quietly or hidden, usually before doing something bad
paleontologist- a scientist that studies fossils
fossil: the preserved remains of an animal that lived long ago

Also, study time table flash cards, spelling, and vocabulary words daily. Remember to read and record in the reading log each evening. Continue working on the Native American project; which is due Friday, October 22, 2010. 
   Study Information
Parents you may use chapter 1 pages 2-21 in math textbook to review/prepare for the place value test, and Chapter 2, Lesson 5 pages 38-39 to review/prepare for the rounding test. Students should study the Social Studies study guide to prepare for the Social Studies test. They may review pages 200-208 in the Science Interactive Text (Student Practice Book) for the science test. These are review standards that the students have previously learned. Homework will be light this week so that students can study for their test.
