Volunteer Opportunities:
We still desire volunteer help at Godley Station School. If you desire to read to a small group, tutor a small group or individual student; please email days that you are available. Additionally, we are attempting to build our class library . . . we would love for you to donate any unused or extra books, magazines, cookbooks, dictionaries, etc.

Book Drive
The book drive ended on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Thanks parents and students for the book donations . . . it was greatly appreciated!!! Thanks to you and your generosity we have built up our classroom library! Although, the official book drive is over students may still donate books.
Communication Folders:
Students will bring home their blue Godley Station School communication folder each Wednesday. Please check the folder as it is the method used to communicate important school activities, dates, events, news, etc. Additionally, the folder will contain the students graded papers. Please review the papers, sign the cover sheets, and return them to school with students the next day.

Homework Agenda:

Students have received a new homework agenda.
They are responsible for writing their homework in the agenda daily. Parents please initial the homework agenda each night.
Weekly Behavior Evaluation:
Some parents have expressed that they would much rather me communicate behavior weekly opposed to daily; which is more efficient at the time. Thus, I have decided that the homework agenda will only be designated for homework, and I will send home a weekly behavior sheet every Wednesday in the blue Godley Station Communication folder. I think this is more feasible. If you would prefer your son or daughter's behavior to be communicated daily; please let me know and I will continue sending theirs home in the daily agenda. Thanks in advance!!
School Supplies:
As a reminder every student is expected to have five 2-pocket folders with prongs (red (Reading/E.L.A), blue (Math), green (Science), Yellow (Social Studies), & Orange (health), as well as 2 composition or notebooks to be used as journals. Thanks in advance!
